60 years of Mustang on 81st MM
04/14/2024
How to celebrate a birthday in style. Yesterday, on April 13, 2024, around 30 early Ford Mustang cars were driven around the Goodwood circuit for the 81st Members' Meeting. Exactly 60 years ago to the day, the car was officially unveiled in the USA.
Well, as we wrote in our new Mustang report , there was a presentation the day before in Bern, but the big world only found out about the new sports car at the presentation in New York.
But back to Goodwood. The 30 largely identical Ford Mustangs will race today (Sunday, April 14) at 12:55 (UK time) as part of the Ken Miles Cup and it is sure to be exciting, as there are numerous experienced racing drivers at the start of the 45-minute race, in which two drivers take turns.
And it will all be broadcast live on YouTube or on the Goodwood Members' Meeting page. And as if that wasn't enough, this year's 81st MM also offers numerous other races with cars that you hardly ever get to see otherwise.
