Unusually camouflaged

Today, it is probably easier to recognize the Erlkönig pictured here, which was spotted in 1960, than it was back then. 60 years ago, the camouflaged saloon must have made quite an impression on onlookers, because it almost looks as if the car is constantly driving backwards. This was due to the fins, which were mostly fitted at the rear and not at the front.
In any case, the body looks quite alienated with this ornamentation and the special face, although the lines from the windshield onwards correspond quite clearly to the Alfa Romeo Giulia as it was presented on June 27, 1962 and was built for more than a decade with relatively minor modifications.
