Forgotten movie cars: Tara King's AC 428 Convertible

Anyone who remembers the TV series "With Umbrella, Charm and Bowler Hat" (original title: "The Avengers") probably remembers Emma Peel and her Lotus Elan.
Her successor Tara King (alias Linda Thorson) was allowed to change her car several times. In addition to a Lotus Elan +2, she drove a Lotus Europa and an AC 428 Convertible.
This elegant car, designed by Pietro Frua, was based on the technology and tubular frame of the AC Cobra, but appeared much more luxurious and modern. The sales price was very high, which was an obstacle to wider distribution. The presence in the television series did not help much ...
