Touring Car Classics ghost race at the Lausitzring
Unfortunately, fans were also "only" able to watch this event as a live stream. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, only 1000 people were allowed to attend the Eurospeedway at the Lausitzring.
The DTM held its second and third ghost races and the Touring Car Classics was the only supporting event to take to the stage. Unfortunately, their starting field of 15 cars was not quite as full as last season.
However, two drivers who can't help but do so were of course back in the field. Harald Grohs at 76 and Poldi (Prince Leopold of Bavaria) at 77 are still fit enough to lap the DTM circuit in hot temperatures in their M3 (E30).
There is no lack of fun for either of them and always true to the motto: once a racing driver, always a racing driver!
Harald Grohs was again unlucky with the engine of his M3. If it went on strike at the OGP a week ago, it also failed to finish the two Lausitz races, despite overnight repairs.
"Poldi" finished a good seventh in the second race and Kris Nissen (60) (all BMW M3) even made it onto the podium in third place.
