SX-70 and the automobile

What the cell phone is today, the instant camera used to be, at least when it came to quickly creating an immediately usable memory.
With the SX-70 system, Polaroid landed a great hit in 1972, as the associated camera could be folded into a handy format and the photos developed by themselves even in daylight (in a maximum of 10 minutes) without any waste. You could even watch the process (and influence it if you felt particularly creative).
Over the years, the SX-70 was perfected further and further and there were a number of camera models as SLR or viewfinder versions
At some point I also bought one of these not quite cheap wonder cameras (see above) and subsequently photographed every freshly purchased automobile on the SX-70 film. The photos have survived, but today, almost 40 years later, the colors are no longer completely convincing.
Incidentally, the technology has survived. Although Polaroid has given up the business, there are successor companies that take care of it.
Back then, SX-70 pictures were also great party fun, just like selfies and the like are today.
And why have I just remembered this now? Because I found an advertisement for the Polaroid SX-70 in an older issue of ams in the Zwischengas magazine archive ...
