The brands with the best cards in the youngtimer environment (question of the week)
02/25/2019
Youngtimers are vehicles that are between 20 and 30 years old and then become classic cars. They are therefore the next generation of classic cars. Cars that are in demand as youngtimers will almost certainly also be in demand later as classic cars.
In the question of the week , we wanted to know from our readers which car manufacturers are best positioned in the youngtimer environment and put forward one and a half dozen brands for the vote.
There was no clear winner, but surprisingly two German manufacturers were able to position themselves ex-aequo at the top. BMW and Porsche each received 18.4% of the almost 300 reader votes.
They were followed at a clear distance by Mercedes-Benz and then Alfa Romeo. Jaguar and Saab came ahead of Ferrari, Lancia and Audi. The French had hardly anything to do with the decision, nor did Volkswagen. It is actually an astonishing result. It should also be mentioned that 4.1% of readers did not see any of the proposed brands as the best youngtimer brand.
You can see the results better in the graphical analysis:
However, we have already formulated another new question of the week. This time we are interested in how important the tradition and history of a brandis when buying a new car today .
And, as always, all previous questions of the week and their evaluations can of course be viewed in a separate topic channel.
