The story, which took place almost exactly 40 years ago, is so good that it is reproduced here in the original version ( Automobil Revue No. 12/1979) :
"This VW bus was hit on the roof ... very unexpectedly. A lorry coming along the road had to brake sharply unexpectedly, whereupon the container, which was probably not properly secured, became independent and tumbled onto the unsuspecting bus. For understandable reasons, the bus fell to its knees, but the roof held. It is reported that the maltreated bus continued its journey visibly relieved after being "relieved"."
