They're here, the new shoes
07/26/2017
At some point, they are simply worn out and can no longer be repaired. That's what happened to my old driving shoes. Well, many readers will say, who needs special shoes for driving?
Anyone who doesn't have arbitrarily small feet and occasionally sits in a classic Italian or British car, e.g. a Dino, a Lotus Elan or a Super Seven, will understand that you are very happy if the shoes are as narrow as possible. The soles should also provide as much feeling as possible. And the shoe should be round and without edges around the heel.
In any case, I've always been well equipped with shoes like these, even when the pedals were tight. But now it was time for a replacement and thank goodness I found a new pair that not only met the functional criteria but also looked nice, at least in my opinion. Of course, the fact that the shoes also meet the current FIA standards doesn't bother me either. But at the end of the day, as we all know, almost everything is a matter of taste ...
