The salt in the Parisian soup (Rétromobile)
02/11/2017
Actually, it's not just in Paris, but everywhere. What would a good trade fair be without the club stands? They are the salt in the soup, so to speak. Of course, the manufacturers' presentations are impressive and certainly elaborate. And the dealers don't miss a beat and show off their display of exquisite vehicles.
But it is the small club stands that are particularly informative and lovingly designed.
Anyone who takes the time to inspect the exhibits in detail, study the many photos and background material in detail and talk to the stand personnel will certainly learn something new about even the best-known brands.
For 2017, the club stands in Paris have been rearranged and moved upstairs from Hall 1 to new locations. This may seem like a move backwards to some, but from our point of view it was a gain, as it made the exhibition a little quieter, if you can even speak of that in view of the once again huge crowds.
Nevertheless, the club presentations were certainly not overlooked, at least the "70 Years of Ferrari Special Exhibition" had ensured that the new hall was also very popular.
If you really want to get to grips with the clubs in depth, you will probably need a whole day just for that, we didn't have that much time either. However, they will certainly be mentioned in detail in our trade fair report, which will be published soon.
Incidentally, one reason why the club stands are a highlight at almost all trade fairs is that these presentations are country-specific, represent local clubs and focus on brands that are less of an issue elsewhere ...
