What does the price of gasoline do?
The picture was taken in 1976 in Germany. At that time, the price of gasoline was less than one mark, which would be about half a euro today!
At that time, the oil companies and petrol stations were obviously reluctant to exceed the "sound barrier" of one DM.
Could they have imagined that even a petrol price of two euros (i.e. almost four marks) would become an issue a few decades later?
