Three million photos from the Rétromobile 2016
Photography has never been easier, never before has so much been photographed as today. This can also be seen at the Rétromobile, which is taking place in Paris until Sunday.
There is hardly a visitor who doesn't pull out their cell phone sooner or later. There is hardly a car at the trade fair that is not being looked at every moment through a lens.
It is completely unclear, and presumably unimportant, who will ever look at the roughly three million photos that will be taken.
And of course the professionals also play their part, but ultimately the readers of the magazines and online portals want to see on-site impressions of the trade fair.
And that's where we really got stuck in. The results can be admired on Zwischengas after the weekend.
Incidentally, the most photographed car in the shortest time was certainly the Ferrari 335 S from 1957 , which was auctioned off by Artcurial for 32.1 million euros . Hundreds of cell phones were held aloft until the arms got tired.
We were there, of course, and will summarize our impressions in a comprehensive auction report. And we not only know at which bid the hammer fell (28 million euros before surcharge/commission), but also who the bidder was who bought the Ferrari. But more about that soon ...
