A luxury problem for BMW almost 50 years ago
At the end of the 1960s, the Munich-based car manufacturer BMW described a truly unusual problem in its advertisingunder the title "The curse of the good deed".
Because they had built slightly better cars with the New Class and the smaller models that followed, which were also given slightly better engines and a slightly better chassis with slightly better brakes, they had become so much better overall that more and more people wanted a BMW. And this is driving up sales. It's nice to have such problems. Even today, many a car manufacturer would still dream of it.
Of course, the advertisement is also available in high resolutionin our image archive.
