The main thing is speed, whether on wheels or slats

Pretty much all ski racers love motorsport and fast cars. Not all of them actually practice it, but the fascination is there.
There are several examples of this: F1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve would also have had a great career on skis. He was also the main organizer of the 24-hour ski race in Villars (VS). And F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel is always inspired by the fast Av drivers.
Marcel Fässler has not only won Le Mans three times, but also the Inferno race once.
Conversely, Philippe Roux competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979 in a Cheetah G601 after his active time as a ski racer.
Luc Alphand competed several times in desert rallies and won the Paris-Dakar with Mitsubishi in 2006. He also competed in Le Mans from 2001-2009 and achieved his best result with 7th place in 2006.
Didier Cuchealready showed great interest in fast cars during his active career as a downhill racer and can regularly be seen as the lead driver at the Arosa ClassicCar hill climb.
Bernhard Russi (pictured above), the 1970 world champion and 1972 Olympic champion, is now a co-commentator on Swiss television. As a brand ambassador for Subaru with the well-known Swiss license plate UR 5000, it is impossible to imagine the rainy 1972 Monaco GP without him. At times he was also on the road in the elegant Bitter CD sports coupé.
Hermann Maier has also taken part in the Ennstal Classic and Didier Cuche in the Arosa Classic.
Marcel Hirscher, Hans Enn and Maria Moser Pröll took part in the Saalbach Classic.
The new downhill world champion is Patrick Küng and he also has gasoline in his blood. He attended the Hungarian GP last year, where he showed great enthusiasm.
Zwischengas congratulates the newly crowned downhill world champion and who knows, maybe he will one day be sitting in a racing car or even a classic automobile,,,
