If patina could tell a story ...

Sheet metal and paint could tell a lot. For example, the experiences they have had during a long life.
Perhaps Achille Varzi once turned this steering wheel?
Perhaps these suspensions once suffered between Brescia and Roma, ironing out the worst bumps for the battered crew?
But wait, we're wrong here! Although we are looking at an exact reproduction of one of the most successful racing cars of all time, the Bugatti 35, the year of manufacture of this Pur Sang is 1999. The car is just 16 years old, which means that many used cars in this country are still going strong and fulfilling their traditional duty. Nor does it surprise with bills of 50,000 euros for compressor overhauls or other work. But it is also unlikely to be auctioned off at Artcurial for over 200,000 euros, although the existing vehicle registration document, which shows the year of construction as 1900 (!), certainly played its part here ...
... It should certainly be attractive to drive, especially after its previous owner invested so much money in refining it ...
