Do you remember the woman with the map?

This picture was taken around 40 years ago. It shows a Ford Escort, one of the most popular cars in our part of the world at the time, and a woman who is obviously looking for the right route on the map.
Nowadays, she would either be tapping away on her smartphone or trusting the navigation system installed in her car.
But hardly anyone has a map on board anymore and even car salespeople no longer give you a road map when you buy a new car. In the past, this was still good practice and the map was a practical utensil.
