Exciting historic motorsport away from the big events and racing series
While the big racing events such as Goodwood, Le Mans Classic, AVD Oldtimer Grand Prix or whatever they are called, receive a lot of attention and are widely covered in the classic car press, there are many smaller events and racing series in their shadow that are hardly ever reported on, but which nevertheless offer exciting sport and beautiful cars at the start. One of these series, in which people drive and compete with a great deal of commitment and enthusiasm, is the"Triumph Competition & British GTs", the official racing series of the TR Register Germany.
The championship was won in 2013 by René Grüter in an MG B. He had a "solid season without any failures or mishaps" and was able to keep second-placed Christian Marx in a Triumph TR4 at bay, while third-placed Robert Hamilton followed close behind in another TR4.
In addition to the cars already mentioned, various other English classics from Morgan, MG and Triumph to Jaguar and TVR were also on the road in the "Competition".
