The little MG Midget - front runner in general admiration
10/17/2012
"There's only one thing for it: love at first sight. The beauty of the new Midget immediately catches the eye. However ... You have to see this car to really recognize what it represents. The equipment is not too spartan, the doors are of a pleasant size, the radiator grille and the frames of the windscreen and side windows are made of polished aluminum. The tail lights and stop lights, indicators and reflectors are grouped in units that fit neatly into the body line at the front and rear. Such details reveal the loving thoroughness of the builders."
That's exactly what it said in the 1962 sales brochure for the MG Midget, and of course we can't help but smile ...
The entire 12-page original brochure is of course available in the Zwischengas archive, as are two others on the MG Midget. And there's also a contemporary test report .
