No, we don't mean the lady, but the little car! The compact car was manufactured by Aichi Machine Industry Company in Nagoya, which actually mainly built commercial vehicles and was taken over by Nissan in 1965 after 22 years of independence.
The Cony Coach 360 was equipped with a small engine with a displacement of 354 cm3, which produced 18.6 hp at 5,500 rpm. Thanks to the small displacement, buyers of the Cony enjoyed tax advantages. The self-supporting body was 299 cm long, 130 cm wide and 136 cm high and offered four seats.
The factory stated the fuel consumption of the 480 kg vehicle at three to four liters of normal petrol per 100 km. The Cony was built in various versions, including as a pickup and a delivery van.
The Automobil Revue reportedbriefly on the small car in issue 50/1962 . And as always, the high-resolution images can of course also be found in the Zwischengar archive .
