Happy Birthday Alfasud

The 40th birthday of the Alfasud has almost been forgotten. In fact, it was presented to the astonished public in the fall of 1971 after the pressure on the Alfa Romeo management had become too great to finally create transparency around the development project shrouded in secrecy.
This means that the Alfasud, which was built until 1983, will soon be celebrating its birthday. Happy birthday!
The Alfasud may not have been a revolutionary innovation, but it was an incredibly intelligently built vehicle that was consistently designed for optimum use of space and safe, sporty driving characteristics. Rust and quality problems prevented it from being a huge market success, but with over 1 million vehicles produced (including the Giardinetta and Sprint derivatives), Alfa Romeo could still be a little proud of the "little one" from the south.
We have dedicated a detailed report to the Alfasud with many contemporary and present-day photos and have also included a few original sales brochures. We are also continually expanding the gallery and the brochure collection, so it's worth visiting the site again from time to time.
