The new small Citroën arrives in September!

This photo was circulating in the press in July 1970, the first "official" photo of the new Citroën GS. The AR 31/1970 wrote:
The new little Citroën is coming in September! It bears the designation GS and presents itself as a five-seater, four-door front-wheel drive car with hydropneumatic suspension. The four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1.2 liters had an overhead camshaft.
This was, of course, the later well-known Citroën GS, built from 1970 to 1986 (later vehicles were called "GSA"). The "GS" stood for "Grande Série", i.e. large series. After all, 2.5 million vehicles found a buyer. There was even a GS with a Wankel engine, called Birotor. However, only 847 of these were produced.
