We finally have the proof. Cars have always been environmentally friendly. But we're not quite so sure whether the Mercedes Simplex (1903) and the De Dion Bouton (1908) can really only run on straw.
Unfortunately, the photos don't show whether they really eat the straw. Both have large, thick exhaust pipes, which would suggest a healthy digestion or, of course, gasoline engines. On the other hand, we know that cows also contribute a lot to CO2 emissions!
