Ab 1936 bot Lincoln mit dem Lincoln-Zephyr V12 ein aerodynamisch geformtes ultra-modernes Automobil an, das sich im Gegensatz zum Chrysler Airflow sehr gut verkaufte und beliebt war. Das Design stammte von Bob Greogire und John Tjaarda.
