Always flush the cooling system before adding an antifreeze solution, and again when removing it in the Spring. The manufacturers of antifreeze will provide a table indicating the quantity to be used in providing full protection against any degree of frost. The strength of the solution must be maintained by toppingup with antifreeze solution as necessary. Excessive toppingup with water will reduce the degree of frost protection.
