The music in a classic car has to please, not match the car (question of the month)
01/26/2026
Most classic car owners prefer a radio adapted to the year of manufacture of the car. But what about the music? Does Simon and Garfunkel belong in an Alfa Romeo Duetto or Toto in a BMW 323i? We wanted to find out with a "question of the month" whether Zwischengas readers match the music, or rather the music era, to the car. The question was: Do you adapt the music to the car?
44% of the more than 330 participants in the survey do not adapt the music to the car, but listen to what they like at the time.
32.2% do not listen to any music at all in their old car.
Just 18.1% actually adapt the sound to the car.
And 5.7% were unable to come to terms with any of the answers given.
Graphically, the results look like this:
And we have already posed the next "question of the month" , which ties in with a blog topic from the past few days: when was Peak Auto?
Of course, you can still read all the results of the previous "Questions of the Month and the Week" in the corresponding topic channel .
