I wish I had bought a Cadillac...

The rear window seal for a model of a brand that disappeared almost 60 years ago and of which barely 5000 units were built in this version? Catalog merchandise. The release bearing for a 70-year-old gearbox? Ordered today; delivered tomorrow! The supply of spare parts for US cars from the 1950s is truly impressive.
But woe betide you if you need something as trivial as a lettering for the trunk lid of a 20-year-old German car. Then sometimes a long search begins with an uncertain outcome. In the case of my Opel Omega, the brand name on the rear has fallen victim to recent repair work - with no replacement in sight. In keeping with its status as a top-of-the-range model, the Omega naturally has a slightly different typography than the Corsa, Astra or Vectra.
If anyone still has an old stock of Opel emblems in the cellar: Please e-mail the editors. Because although it certainly has American genes as a General Motors product, the complete range of parts from the USA is not much help in this case. The Omega was sold there - but as a Cadillac.
