A Knudsen with all-wheel drive?
04/09/2025
Well, the question has actually already been answered. After all, you have already read our article about the Ford Taunus 2300 GXL and therefore know the function of the right-hand switch of the two shown here: It can be used to check the fill level of the brake fluid reservoir before setting off. But let's be honest: would you have recognized this from the symbol on the button?
From the wiring harness to the chassis, the badly messed-up diagram can represent almost anything. With the red light next to it, it could just as well be the hazard warning lights. Or perhaps the switch for the center differential lock of the all-wheel drive. Or the tire pressure monitoring system. Or even the electronic damper adjustment for the suspension.
What is even more puzzling than the symbolism is the switch itself: Hardly any other Knudsen-Taunus seems to have it today. A common feature on French cars, the manual remote brake control on the German dashboard is a curiosity. It may have been a special feature for the Swiss market. Who knows more about it?
