Six cylinders in a row - a little different
04/27/2024
We are big fans of in-line six-cylinder engines. But as we wandered through the Retro Classics halls, it wasn't a car that caught our eye, but a motorcycle with six cylinders in a row. It was on display at the NSU Club stand, on the subject of the NSU Quickly.
A couple of guys had apparently come up with the idea of building a drag bike powered by six NSU Quickly two-strokes connected in series. It's not quite finished yet, but it already looks very cool. Of course, one immediately wonders whether the engines will fire simultaneously or evenly staggered and how the whole thing will run and sound. You can watch videos of the creation process on YouTube, but the final one, in which the Super-Quickly roars off, still seems to be missing ...
P.S. Admittedly, this is not a car topic, but this one-off is still almost worth a visit to Retro Classicsin Stuttgart, which is open until Sunday, April 28, 2024.
