Classic car and youngtimer drivers like to choose the better gasoline quality (Question of the week)
Once there was regular and premium gasoline, today you can easily choose from five or more types of gasoline. But which is best for your classic car, does it even matter? We wanted to find out from our readers with a " question of the week" and formulated:
Which pump do you use at the filling station when you fill up your (favorite) classic car with petrol?
At first glance, the more than 450 participants were unanimous in their answers: as far as avoidable, alcohol does not go into the tank. Only 5.1% of those who voted and 0.4% opted for E10 or E85 at the filling station.
The most popular choice is "Super Plus 98", with 41.5% opting for this. This is followed by "Super 95" with 31.5 % of responses and finally the particularly high-octane and highly refined varieties such as V-Power, Ultimate, 100 octane or similar, which 18.6 % prefer.
Just 1.6% stated that their car did not care what went into the tank and 1.3% could not agree with any answer.
All in all, "it can be a bit more" when classic car and youngtimer drivers fill up, with 98 octane and above accounting for over 60% of the votes.
