This advertising slogan might not have been directly associated with the car manufacturer Mazda . But almost exactly 30 years ago, the Japanese launched the luxury version of the 626 model on the market under the name Xedos 6. And this luxury version did indeed look like a downsized Jaguar without falling behind technically.
"Traditional values and classic beauty are not at odds with contemporary functionality," wrote the Mazda advertisers.
In any case, we think that the design of the marketing campaign from back then is still convincing today.
And if we ever get the opportunity to portray a well-preserved six-cylinder Xedos-6 with a manual gearbox, we will be happy to do so ...
