Plush dice "Fuzzy Dice" and their meaning
11/06/2019
During the Second World War, many US soldiers carried crocheted dice with them for good luck. After the war, many returnees turned to the hot rod scene, where the dice were attached to the interior mirror of their vehicles. This showed other hot rod drivers that they were ready for an illegal street race.
In the early fifties, the cubes were so popular that the first manufacturers began to make the iconic items out of plush. The cubes lasted until the seventies, after which they were somewhat forgotten. Today, the plush cubes hardly have their original meaning any more, but are still popular as decoration in the US vehicle scene.
