Do you remember the 8-track tape recorder?

I recently got into a Jaguar MK II and immediately noticed a rather large device under the dashboard with a chunky plastic cassette in it: an 8-track tape recorder!
Do you remember these early music cassettes (also known as "cartridges"), which were popular from around the mid-sixties to the mid-seventies? A cassette with 60 minutes of music in stereo contained an endless tape with eight tracks, each fifteen minutes long, of which two tracks were used simultaneously.
The technology lost its importance on the market in the seventies, as the compact cassette invented by Philips prevailed.
The 8-track cassette was only on the market for a relatively short time, similar to other technologies such as MiniDisc or Video 2000.
