Vintage electric cars - better this way than that ...

Over the last few days at the Techno Classica in Essen , there were also a number of electrified "classic cars" on display. Jaguar, for example, presented the E-Type Zero for the first time in Germany, a historic roadster with a powertrain based on the I-Pace. And the installation is even said to be reversible.
A few steps further on, there is a Beetle chassis with an electric drive unit to admire.
But are these really still classic cars? Wouldn't it be better to buy real electric classic cars if you want to drive emission-free? As we all know, they existed decades ago, or even 100 years ago. A Detroit Electric, for example, is a pre-war classic and comparatively easy to drive.
If you prefer something a little more modern, you could go for a Jet Electrica 007 from the 1980s, which will probably be auctioned off in the USA in around two weeks' time for very little money, or an electrified Fiat Panda or Golf from the same period, as these also existed.
In thirty years' time, you'll be able to drive to classic car meetings in an e-Golf, Jaguar I-Pace or Renault Zoe, if you can still get it to run ...
