Eggs belong to Easter like ...
Eggs are a tradition at Easter, whether made of chocolate or directly from the hen, but painted. But eggs also play a role in the automobile, as they were not only used as a model for pretty stand decorations at the Geneva Motor Show (as can be seen in the picture above from 1966), but were also an important influence for aerodynamicists.
From the 1930s onwards, cars were created that looked very much like an egg. Over the decades, the findings were refined and the shapes of the cars became more varied, but they still resembled an egg.
For our Easter quiz , we have collected egg-shaped cars from six decades in the Zwischengas photo archive. Some are better known, others never made it past the prototype stage.
If you have some spare time, you can try to correctly identify the ten eggs and assign each one to one of five suggested car types.
So you don't have to look for the eggs, but you do have to find their names.
