Famous American movie cars in Berlin
For some fans of famous American car movies, this might almost be worth a trip to Berlin. Because two cars from cult films are being shown at the Motorworld Classics currently taking place in Berlin. One of the two 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 (7211 cm3, 375 hp) used in the movie "Bullit" is on display. This was the car that chased Steve McQueen in the Ford Mustang through half of San Francisco. According to the exhibitor, it is the only surviving example from the movie.
The famous "Eleanor" is probably even better known, especially among younger movie fans. Nicolas Cage, alias master thief Randall, gave this nickname to the 1967 Shelby GT 500, which he drove in the most spectacular way in the film "Gone in 60 Seconds". Three cars were extensively modified for the filming, one of which can now be seen in Berlin.
And the fact that the two cars are standing next to each other in the exhibition center under the radio tower makes things even better.
