Unusual mishaps - the broken key
Anyone who drives a modern car wonders from time to time what would happen if these ultra-modern keys, if you can even call them that, stopped performing their various services without power.
Well, some things were better in the past, but even then you could have a breakdown with a key and, logically, this is still possible today with an old car.
In any case, the ignition key in the lock of a fine sports car from Italy broke off during a recent photo drive. The car was still running, but the bit of the key remained in the lock. As a result, the engine could no longer be stopped, let alone restarted, once the electricity had been removed.
However, keys can also break off in the door lock or in the trunk lock and, of course, before the engine has started, which would make it impossible to continue driving. Why do keys break off in the first place? If you take a closer look at them, some of them just scream "predetermined breaking point". And 40 years of twisting and bending eventually breaks the "neck" of some keys.
Thank goodness this problem can be solved, but it's good if you're not far from home when such a mishap occurs.
