Perhaps today's car developers should simply be given a VW K 70 to drive. They would probably be amazed. Perfect all-round visibility and every end of the body can be seen from the driver's seat.
The instruments are hard to beat in terms of clarity (and elegance). Anyone can get to grips with the car straight away without having to struggle through several hundred pages of operating instructions.
Of course, a VW K 70 can't compete with modern passenger cars in terms of economy or safety, but it shows how much carmakers have thought before and that the new is not better than the old in every respect ...
