Summary
When Ferrari presented the successor to the 308 GTB/GTS in 1985, an extensive redesign was expected. In fact, however, the experts at Pininfarina had only modified the body very carefully and the result was convincing across the board, as the 328 GTB/GTS was seen at the time as the most beautiful version of the model series built over 14 years. Even today, the Ferrari 328 GTS continues to impress, especially when you get behind the wheel of this classic car, which has now matured into a classic. In the 1980s, a Ferrari was red, and only rarely white. Despite Sonny Crocket in the bright (sprayed black) Testarossa, sports car buyers in Maranello hardly ever wanted to order a white sports car. But one customer did, and the result is still impressive today. It was a Ferrari 328 GTS from 1988, detoxified with a catalytic converter in order to comply with the increasingly strict environmental laws of the time. It was therefore rightly dressed in white. And the "color" flatters the design carefully adapted to the times by Pininfarina. The shape that was first shown to the public in Paris in 1975 with the 308 GTB lasted around 14 years. For the first ten years, hardly any changes were made to the design, apart from the introduction of the Targa variant 308 GTS, but a visibly rejuvenated Ferrari 328 GTB/GTS was presented at the IAA in 1985.
