On two days, March 2 and 3, 2023, Gooding & Co auctioned 155 vehicles, including 24 motorcycles/scooters, at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elégance. The total value of the vehicles was estimated at almost USD 94 million, ultimately realizing USD 71.1 million with a sales ratio of 95%. The most expensive cars sold were five Ferraris, but cars could also be bought at auction for low five-figure sums. After Gooding & Co did not bid in Scottsdale, the auction at the Amelia Island Concours was the first appearance of the American auction house. However, 155 vehicles, including 24 motorcycles, went under the hammer at Gooding in the Racquet Park of the Omni Amelia Island Resort over two days on March 2 and 3, 2023. The total value of the vehicles was estimated in advance at around USD 93.7 million, with the cars accounting for the lion's share at USD 92.9 million. 67% of the vehicles were offered without a reserve price, with cars accounting for 61%. A total of USD 71.1 million was realized, with the lion's share going to the consignors of the cars, namely USD 70.2 million. This means that USD 570,937 was paid per car.
