The "big" and the "little" world champion!
Last Sunday, two German world champions met for the first time.
Walter Röhrl, on his way to Tasmania, made a stopover in Melbourne to visit Sebastian Vettel, who was taking his first GP of 2011. He did it brilliantly, winning the race with pole position and a start-finish victory. The former rally world champion was impressed by the Heppenheim driver's relaxed attitude and performance! They hit it off straight away and when Walter began to talk about his old days, Sebastian pulled up a chair and listened with fascination, as did everyone at the table.
What is Walter Röhrl doing in Tasmania? Of course, he is competing in the 20th "Targa Tasmania" in a works Porsche 911 (1981) ! Klaus Bischof (Porsche representative) just said to me: "You have to experience it, they still really step on the gas and the roads are absolutely sensational"! Walter Röhrl's facial expression showed complete satisfaction at this statement!
