50 years ago, when Ferrari was not yet so well known ....

In 1960, Frère/Gendebien won the 24 Hours of Le Mansin the Ferrari 250 S (TR59/60).
It was a complete triumph, which was further cemented by the 2nd place of Rodriguez/Pilette. This was reason enough for Ferrari to place full-page advertisements, as the example from July 1960 (from Automobil-Revue) shows. These advertisements show Olivier Genebien in the rain at Le Mans.
Of course, they also advertise the road car available at the time, the Ferrari 250 Gran Turismo 2+2 (also known today as the Ferrari 250 GTE).
When was the last time we saw an advertisement like this from Ferrari? In a weekly newspaper? What a shame! Back then, Ferrari products were much more exclusive than they are today, production output was perhaps 10 or 15% of what it is today and the differences between a Ferrari and a normal car were much more impressive than they are today.
