Gentlemen of the Press, I am truly happy, and a little excited too, to be able to show you today, on the occasion of this 33rd Geneva Car Show, our newborn car, the ATS 2 500 - or. to be more exact, its proto type. As our President, Dr. Billi pointed out, all the work on this car was completed in just under ten months; quite a record, I think, in the history of automobile construction. And this achievement is all the more remarkable when you take into account the entirely new technical features incorporated in the car. I should particularly like to draw your attention to the position of the V8 engine which makes the ATS 2500 the dfirst sports car produced in series with the engine at the centreback, or in ot her words, in front of the back axle. This new construction technique, which as you know, has already proved successful in racing cars, was used in order to achieve greater stability and also because it affords better ease of handling than is possible with any other engine position.
