He can practise a little for his first film role, the dark-haired young man who can hardly save himself from the women thanks to his pretty Peugeot 204 Cabriolet. Do you recognize him? That's George Lazenby. Yes, that's right: the George Lazenby who was to join Her Majesty's Secret Service once in 1969 as James Bond.
At the time of the advertising campaign, however, hardly anyone would have known who the handsome guy with the distinctive dimple in his chin was. It was published in auto motor und sport in the spring of 1968 – more than six months before the filming of the sixth "Bond" had even begun.
How could that be? Born in Australia, he moved to London in 1963 for love, was discovered there by a talent scout and quickly became a sought-after advertising model.
