At the center of the icing on the cake
11/03/2023
We visit a lot of classic car shows and notice time and again that more and more young or even new cars are being shown among the classics. At Auto Zürich, however , it's the other way around. This is actually a new car show that provides variety with an additional classic car hall. This is skillfully done and also helps "our" cause, because we can inspire prospective new car buyers with our classics. That's why we're also on site at Auto Zürich itself with our own stand. And it is practically in the middle of this classic car hall (hence the title).
Of course, the exhibiting dealers offer attractive classics such as a Porsche 911, a Dino 246 GTS, an Austin-Healey 3000, a Jaguar XK 120 or a Shelby Mustang - cars that "you" know. But even in this comparatively small exhibition, there are cars that you don't see every day. Two examples:
The Alfa Romeo 1900 Super was produced in notable numbers in the post-war period, but only 20 of them were painted in a combination of black and coral orange in 1956.
Only 285 Iso (Rivolta) Lele were produced between 1969 and 1974, designed by Marcello Gandini and engineered by major American manufacturers (GM, Ford). Depending on the engine, the Espada competitor ran at over 230 km/h. In the test, ams called the car a " high-speed steamer". A late example of the Lele can be seen at Auto Zürich.
But there are other good reasons to travel to Zurich North, such as the small special show celebrating 60 years of Lamborghini, ...
... two legendary Maserati racing cars ...
... or the six wonderful Lancia cars in the center of the classic car hall.
And of course you can also view almost the entire range of new cars available in Switzerland until Sunday evening on November 5, 2023 ...
P.S. We will of course also publish a review of Auto Zürich.
