Finesse from the past

When you take a closer look at old cars, you are always amazed at the one or other detail that demonstrates a certain degree of design sensitivity.
The picture above shows a side window of an Aston Martin DB 2-4 Mk III, more precisely, the swing-out triangular window for largely draught-free ventilation of the interior. An additional piece of glass is attached to the triangular window. The idea behind this is that it allows the water that gets onto the triangular window when driving in the rain to flow further back, thus keeping the interior dry. This means that you can leave the windows open even in damp weather and prevent the windows in the interior from tarnishing.
Pretty clever, isn't it? And hardly conceivable if the accountant had had anything to say about it ...
We will of course also be showing the entire car, which we will of course be reporting on in the near future.
