Many, many colorful Bullis (car connoisseur quiz)
10/01/2023
In our memory, the VW Transporter single-handedly supplied the whole of post-war Europe. But in the days before the customs union and the Schengen Agreement, every car-producing country had its own vans. And even in Germany, the VW was nowhere near as indispensable as it seems, even though it was by far the most successful. That is why we are hardly familiar with the competitors from Goliath, Tempo and Hanomag today.
Foreign vans were even less common in the Federal Republic. Character heads like the Citroën HY are of course well known. But do you also know what distinguishes the Japanese Gasuden mini-van from a Kurogane Baby or what the Opel licensed version of the Renault Traffic was called? After all, Matchbox models brought some English makes into continental children's rooms.
But the vast majority of minibuses today are just wallflowers next to the VW Type 2, which is why our latest car connoisseur quiz is more of a van connoisseur quiz . Would you like to give it a try?
