Just when you think you've seen it all before, the daily email from bringatrailer.com comes along and proves you wrong. This time it was a classic hot rod, but it was the unusual choice of base vehicle that caught the eye. Instead of the usual pre-war US model, the builder has filleted an old-school Jaguar XJ 6. Or rather: recycled it.
To the relief of all lovers of the sleek big cats, this was not a well-kept first-hand sedan. The creator of the hot cat of prey has merely given the leftover parts of two slaughter vehicles a sensible new purpose. The preservation of the original 4.2-liter six-cylinder engine deserves special praise. However, it is said to have given up the ghost in the meantime and given way to a Chevrolet V8. As usual...
