Sense of community
10/02/2023
Being on the road in a classic car also gives you the feeling of being part of a community. I noticed this once again last weekend, when there seemed to be a particularly large number of classic cars on the road. People were waving and raising their hands everywhere.
This was also noticeable at the end-of-season brunch at Emil Frey Classics in Safenwil. A wide variety of classic car crews had traveled from all over Switzerland to spend a few hours together and enjoy a delicious brunch in the club bar above the Emil Frey Museum.
The whole event was accompanied by appropriate music.
Many conversations were held and some memories of a long classic car season were probably shared that morning. There are always topics of conversation between classic car drivers - after all, they share the same hobby.
And on the drive home afterwards, most of the brunch participants probably met other classic car drivers who were perhaps returning from another event or were simply out for fun. In any case, nobody had to feel alone.
P.S. If you would like to see more pictures of the 2023 end-of-season brunch, we have set up a small picture gallery .
P.S.2 Currently, the Emil Frey Museum is still showing the "Colors" exhibition , we took some more photos at the brunch and integrated them into the article.
