... and then a Fiat 130 Berlina drove past
So once again I was sitting in a street café. I was actually reading the daily newspaper, but of course I was also watching the street. And a Fiat 130 Berlina actually drove past. A tremendous coincidence, after all, 542 Fiat 130 saloons were imported into Switzerland, but only a dozen of them are still on the road, i.e. have been redeemed. And what are the chances that one of these 12 Fiat 130s drove past in the five minutes I was watching cars at Zurich's Bellevue? Minimal, probably a big lottery win is more likely. So a big stroke of luck!
Of course, you have to put all this into perspective, because after all, I hadn't been waiting for this Turin luxury sedan. There were also other classics driving past in the five minutes in question, such as a Jaguar E-Type Series 1 FHC, a Range Rover Classic and a slightly younger Ford Streetka. Not to mention various Porsche 911s.
But it's great that on a normal Saturday morning you can enjoy watching some veritable classics. That's why I will continue to enjoy sitting in the street café ...
