Inspiring filling stations
08/12/2023
Our blog post about the three western cars at the GDR filling station with an unidentified fourth vehicle has apparently spurred on the guessers in our readership and generated a surprising number of comments. And surely everyone is now eagerly awaiting the solution. What kind of car was it really? We don't know ourselves. The question was absolutely serious. But the tendency in the editorial team is also towards the Wartburg.
Inspired by this little guessing game, reader Fritz Tschopp sent us a nice snapshot from the Glentleiten open-air museum in Upper Bavaria, showing five 1950s limousines standing at a historic gasoline filling station. Since it was taken on June 24 on the occasion of the "MG Magnette Days 2023", guessing the vehicles pictured is a little easier this time.
