The Alfa Romeo Superflow IV on its way to America 60 years ago
Swissair, which was transporting the concept car from Europe to New York at the time, estimated the value of the Alfa Romeo 6C 3000 CM Superflow IV at CHF 120,000. A huge sum at the time.
The man at the steering wheel and on the forklift truck must surely have gotten his hands wet when unloading the car. And if they had known that this car would be auctioned off by Gooding & Co in Pebble Beach almost 60 years later for USD 6 to 8 million, they would probably have paid a lot more.
